Not much is known about sacrilegious events that took place in the 19th century rural Finland.
Evidence of a certain sinful congregation has been gathered from church records and filmographies.
Folklore tells of an evil cult inducing chaos among followers of old Finnish religions.
Three main cultists are identified.
The local preacher "Wilhelm".
The church cantor "Kristian".
The mad gravedigger "Aukusti".
Adjacent to the local church, these cultists practiced their own crooked religion in the cantor's mansion.
It is known that the cultists were ultimately condemned to be burned to death upon a church altar.
Further evidence of the nefarious activity was recently found. An incredibly well preserved book containing sermons written by the preacher Wilhelm.
The aged texts are now carefully transcribed into the songs of "Kadotetut", the full-length album of Vainaja. The album adds unprecedented details to the arcane story.
